Baudin Art & Design is a Single-Member LLC founded by me, Patrick Baudin, to help Architects and Contractors reduce their workload by assisting with the heavy lifting of documentation off your plate. As a Technical Consultant specializing in contract document support, I offer three tiers of services for Multi-Family Residential and Commercial interiors: specification preparation and analysis; contract document coordination reviews; and RFI & Submittal support. As an independent contractor, I provide immediate short-term or long-term assistance, offering flexible capacity that scales with your project needs, regardless of your current staffing levels.

I leverage my field experience to help identify potential conflicts early, draft clear technical responses, and clarify documentation ambiguities—supporting smoother project workflows and helping to minimize avoidable delays. I assist with the documentation legwork so you can focus on final decisions. Every deliverable is drafted for review and final approval by the Licensed Architect or Contractor of Record.

I operate on a strict policy of confidentiality and data security to protect my clients' intellectual property. I work hard to stay ahead of the ever-evolving challenges of today's interconnected world. Your project data and communications are isolated, encrypted, and never used for AI model training. I am always neutral and only support one party per project.

My career spans 20+ years in the building industry—including 10 years of full-time professional experience. I've been employed under architects, contractors, and owners, giving me a broad perspective on how each party reads and uses Contract Documents differently. I also bring building operations perspective—having worked as a BOMA analyst and maintenance technician—so I understand what lasts after the job site clears.

I use this full-lifecycle experience to act as a translator. I focus on identifying coordination issues early and clarifying documentation ambiguities. I provide the detailed framework you need to reduce risk and manage potential cost impacts effectively.

I am a LEED AP who holds a Master's in Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I am also a former United States Air Force A-10 Crew Chief who brings the rigor and discipline I learned from inspecting and maintaining aircraft to all of my work in the building industry today.
